Well, I’ve decided it isn’t fair to make Matt do all the posts and if one is going to get done anytime soon, I better do it. hehe Lots has happened since the last post. I’ll start with Sam’s new discovery of rolling over from back to front and from front to back. He is rolling all over the place. In this picture he had rolled off his blanket under the coffee table and was watching NFL network. This made his daddy very happy

He likes to sleep on his side now and he likes to sleep all night long
He actually went 10 hours last night, which is amazing. I feel like a new woman. He takes great naps and goes down so easy. Last Saturday Matt and I went to his high school reunion in Franklin. Mimi was here visiting so she got to babysit. We spent the day in Franklin at Gdaddy and Gigi’s house before we left for the reunion. It was lots of fun meeting Matt’s high school buddies.

Today Sam went to his 4 month check up. He has become extremely vocal and he loves to yell. It’s really cute. He had to get shots today and he did great. The nurse stuck him with the first needle and he yelled once and that was it. No crying or anything. He is such a trooper. Today he ate cereal for the first time. It was kinda funny because he would take in a spoonful and then spit it right back out. I think he managed to get a little down. I guess we will have to work on the eating of solids.

He is such a happy little boy for the most part. He loves to laugh and smile…..

He also likes to make some goofy faces……

He loves spending lots of time with his daddy during the day while mommy is at work.

I guess that is about all that has happened since the last post. Now that I am posting maybe between the two of us it will be updated more often. Can’t make any promises though….

No excuses, I’m just going to post. It’s been a good….. month. Sam is growing like a little chubby weed and is more and more fun everyday. Tons has happened since my last post. I will hit on the highlights, starting with Heather going back to work. This is not so much a “highlight” as it is a significant event. It has gone much better than both of us expected, but that is not to say it is all good. Heather cut back to 30 hours a week, which allows us to keep our insurance through her work, so she doesn’t have to leave home until around noon, and she gets home a little before 7. If her schedule was the same as it was before Sam was born then I’m sure this would be much harder, for both of us, but mainly for her. Right now she is able to spend the entire morning with Sam before she leaves, which is good for both of us. I have started working most mornings by 7 at the latest so that I can get in a good 5 hours or so before she leave, which makes it easier for me in the afternoons if I have to take an hour off here or there to tend to Sam. So far it’s going well, it hasn’t all been easy, but it’s worth it.
Sam is sleeping pretty well and doing all of the things he is supposed to. It’s funny for us to look back and see that we were afraid he wasn’t getting enough to eat when he fed, because it is apparent that even though he doesn’t eat for long, he definitely packs it in. It seems as though the buzz-word that people use when looking at him is “healthy”, which is fine with us because we know he is. He’s a cute little hunk-a-chunka duder buddy. That’s what I say.

Some nights are better than others, and I suppose that is to be expected. The last 2 nights he’s gone 6 hours between his last feeding of the night and the next one, so that’s good. His naps all go pretty well too, so we’re just going to keep on our schedule and hope it keeps progressing positively.
Be back…. soon?
